The Rotary Club of Belper was formed in 1930. The current membership of 29 is drawn mainly from Belper and the neighbouring village of Duffield. To recognise the fact that about half of our members come from Duffield, and that a lot of our activities, especially youth work, takes place in the village, we renamed our club “The Rotary Club of Belper and Duffield” in 2006. Our membership comes from an area approxiamately bounded by Ambergate, Heage, Holbrook, Horsley Woodhouse, Quarndon and Turnditch.
